Jenn Poulsen, MSED, PLMHP

I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner who works with clients across the lifespan. My path into counseling has been a little unconventional. I earned my bachelor’s degree in zoology, where I studied animal behavior and developed strong skills in observation and
recognizing patterns of distress. Over time, I realized my passion was in supporting people, and I went on to complete my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK).

Today, I bring that same attentiveness and curiosity into the therapy room. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches to meet each client where they are. I have experience
working with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma and attachment concerns, grief, life transitions, abuse, and more.

I believe that people come to counseling because they want something to feel different. At the core, I see each person as capable of growth and meaningful change. My role is to create a space
that feels safe, collaborative, and empowering as we work toward that change together.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking, swimming, playing trivia with friends, and spending time with my dogs, Jules and Misty.
